Telepathic Moon Dance is a funk jam band with catchy, original songs and intense jams. Their high-energy live shows reveal influences of Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Fela Kuti, and Phish. Bandleader Walker Adams has played drums for St. Vincent and bassist Percy Jones and is joined by a revolving cast of virtuosic players including Sam Smith on bass, Steve Frieder on sax, Tony DePaolo and David Bailis on guitar, and Neil Alexander and Carlos Homs on keys.
